Pendleton Roundup and So Much More

I was invited to the Pendleton Round up in Oregon, so my mom and I headed west again. Good thing we left a day early, because we didn’t realize how much the speed limits slow down in Oregon, and we wanted to make a few pit stops on the way. Our first stop was in Spokane, where we stayed at the famous Davenport Hotel. When we got back on the road, we were headed for Portland, it took forever when you have to drive 65 on the interstate! Once we arrived, Gary the Garmin decided to quit working so we were in a situation like we were in Portland. Once we finally found the restaurant the rest of the girls were supposed to be at, we discovered they forgot to inform us of the restaurant change so on the road again we were. After 2 and half hours of driving around Portland, we finally found the Newport Bay Restaurant. So glad we did because the clam chowder was fantastic. The next day we started out our morning at a doughnut shop called Voodoo Doughnuts and I had maple stick with bacon on it! We then visited the Shiner's Children Hospital. Miss Rodeo Oregon rented a big 8 passenger van and drove us all around. Miss Rodeo North Dakota was really sick and decided to sleep in the car, rather than bring her germs into the hospital. When we were ready to leave, we discovered that Tiff accidently dropped the keys in between a plastic part of the van and the outside metal part of the van. After bustin a guy, and Ashley (MRO) about having a panick attack, we got the keys and was headed to our next stop of Tillamook, Oregon. Yes, its the Tillamook like the brand of cheese, we even got to see the Tillamook Cheese Factory and stay at a beach house on the ocean. On the drive to Pendleton we did alot of site seeing, including Multnomah Falls (the waterfall on TWILIGHT), along with several cool looking spots. It was the 100th year celebration for the Pendleton roundup and the rodeo was unreal. If any of you get the chance to go to Pendleton I would recommend going. It is so fun to watch the rodeo on grass and see how the tradition stays the same there. Unfortunately, I left Oregon with the worst cold in the world, I am blaming TIff for that.
